White Drape

Beneath closed eyes, The time passes by. Under the blue roof, Life bids good bye. . Reel of memories, Opens the laugh and tears, In the light of life, Shadows are more clear. . Thoughts try to run wild, Desperation to know outside. Helpless, separate from world, No one's to guide. . Arms rest on chest, Wrapped in silk very tight. No one knows life's still there, Still trying on the lost fight. . Chaos and cries still come through, Piercing the deaf ears. Weak legs tied parallel, Have forgotten the walk of years. . Scent glues to cotton, The fragrance goes in. Pouring and filling the lungs, Inside air has lost wings. . Earth moves under with ease, Destination is for path to seek. Slowly the sun closes to west, Light seems so meek. . Above and below the woods, Draped in white. Unaware of these, Flames turn bright. . The ashen smoke rises up, Making the clouds grey. Ash embraces the soil and air, Waiting to be washed away. . Drape remains no more, Gone is the soul. What remains floats, What remains is the whole.
